This week’s upload is a short funk riff on E over a Garageband-supplied drum loop. I wrote the guitar and bass parts. I’m having a lot of trouble getting a nice clear bass tone from my gear; anyone have any suggestions?

0:24-0:33 guitar falls behind beat a wee bit. Also, noticed slight tightening up when hitting the 9th chords between each section. Sounds great though, more progress = teh p0wn4g3.
As for bass, verify that your clean bass sound isn’t crappy – just bass and amp, nothing in between. Make sure no buzz, no static, good clean sound. Clean up / replace pots / remove dust etc. as needed. next, examine your pre-amp / effects hw. I recommend DL’ing bass amps + effects for your POD, because the POD is the fucking shit. Still, if your KORG device is good, so be it.
